Violin and Slow Digital Delay | ca. 40 Minutes

This was the first fully formed example of extremely long delay structures in my work. Conceived one evening while at the Spark Festival of Electronic Music in Minneapolis, I sketched the max patch and the basic idea. While I was at the Manitou Arts Theater in Manitou Springs, Colorado, to premiere a section of my work Separate Haven, my long time collaborator Drew Blumberg recorded an example of the piece and it was a revelation.
