Performances in Seattle and Hudson and a special cassette for Avant Media donors

April 7th, 2015

It's been a fantastic spring so far. There were these two wonderful pieces about my work in The New York Times and on I Care If You Listen, and April is bringing a bunch of performances!

On April 18th, in Seattle, R. Andrew Lee will be performing the West Coast premiere of my The Four Pillars Appearing from The Equal D under Resonating Apparitions of The Eternal Process - If you're in Seattle, this is a concert not to be missed - you can hear a preview from the World Premiere in Colorado here.

And then on April 25th I'll be performing up in Hudson as part of Le Guess Who?'s 24 Hour Drone marathon. I'll be on from 7-8PM performing a new piece for voice and sine waves called Intoning The Starfield Symmetry. If you heard my performance at the recent Avant Music Festival, this a part of that world, but something wholly new. I'm thrilled to be a part of this event alongside a bunch of wonderful people.

I'm also in the process of making a special cassette for Avant Media's spring fundraising drive. This will be a super limited edition cassette, only available to Avant Media donors that features a new set of work of mine that filters the sounds of natural bodies of water - for this recording, the East River and two locations in Rocky Mountain National Park. Join our amazing community at Avant Media today and you'll get a copy of this cassette which also features music by 2015 Avant Music Festival composer Paula Matthusen.
